On this day, in your heart

Those dark eyes were light in your life
Her voice, a touch of pure bliss
Everything of a beauty so divine

I know, I embraced her too
The image faded as darkness rose
Blood was shed as I embraced the winter rose
Tears fell as I realized the mistake
